Unborn Jesus
The Great Sign
Blog
2005 06 16 - The Crusaders for
Life at Saint Peter Chanel’s
Unborn Jesus Holy Hour
Wednesday
the
16th
of
June
was
not
a
ordinary
adoration
day
at
Saint
Peter
Chanel
in
Hawaiian
Gardens,
California.
A
religious
class
was
being
given
at
the
side
building
next
to
the
Church
at
the
same
time
the
Unborn
Jesus
Adoration
group
gathered
for
Holy
Hour.
Many
of
the
members
were
taking
the
class
and
consequently,
the
group
was
unusually
small.
Then
unexpectedly,
about
16
or
more
young
people
entered
the
church
and
sat
at
the
front.
They
were
all
uniformed
in
red
sweats
and
had
an
emblem
of
a
black
shield
with
a
white
rampant
lion
on
their
chests.
The
back
displayed
the
message
“You cannot be Catholic and pro-abortion.”
The
regular
members
might
have
been
surprised
since
God
had
provided
these
bold
young
men
and
women
to
fill
our
pews as we dedicated a holy Hour to the Unborn Child Jesus.
Earlier
in
the
week,
the
Crusaders
for
Life
team
arrived
at
Saint
Peter
and
Paul
in
Wilmington
to
be
stationed
there
during
their
pro-life
activities
in
Los
Angeles.
They
are
participating
in
a
long
walk
from
San
Diego
to
San
Francisco,
following
the
footsteps
foot-steps
of
Blessed
Junipero
Sierra
on
a
Mission
trail.
They
also
spend
some
time
praying
in
front
of
abortion
clinics
as
they
encounter
them
in
their
path
and
organizing
peaceful
protests
to
those
Catholics
who
are
in
politics
but
support
abortion.
I
was
helping
Ana
and
her
friends
to
raise
funds
for
her
trip
to
the
World
Youth
Fest
when
Ana
ran
outside
as
she
spotted
their
trailer
arriving
at
the
Saint
Peter
and
Paul’s
parking
lot.
I
also
ran
to
meet
our
new
visitors.
I
was
impressed with them and so was Ana.
I
invited
them
to
attend
an
Our
Lady
of
Fatima
event
on
Monday,
June
the
13th,
at
Saint
Gerard
Majella
in
Culver
City
and
also
to
the
Unborn
Jesus
Holy Hour at Saint Peter Chanel on Wednesday, June the 16th.
Father
Martin,
the
Pastor
of
Saint
Gerard
was
impressed
with
our
visitors.
He
allowed
them
to
speak
to
the
congregation
about
their
pro-life
mission
at the end of Our Lady’s event.
Father
Larry,
the
pastor
of
Saint
Peter
Chanel
came
in
person
to
the
parking
lot
to
great
the
visitors
and
gave
them
a
blessing.
I
do
not
know
if
it
was
originally
planned
that
way,
but
it
was
he
who
gave
us
the
Benediction
after
the Unborn Jesus Holy Hour that Wednesday the 16th.
Father
Peter
invited
the
Crusaders
for
a
Barbeque
at
the
new
John
Paul
the
II
garden
at
Saint
Peter
and
Paul.
Ana
was
in
charge
and
directed
us
on
how
we shall contribute to this assignment.
I
took
an
opportunity
to
offer
them
Unborn
Jesus
pins.
Their
enthusiasm
helped
in
affirming
our
mission
on
promoting
awareness
of
Jesus
in
the
Womb.
Saturday
was
the
last
time
I
saw
them
when
I
joined
in
prayer
in
front
of
a
Planned
Parenthood
facility.
I
brought
with
me
the
Unborn
Jesus
Banner
and
as
I
joined
their
flanks,
they
cheered
in
joy
to
Our
Lady
of
Guadalupe and her son, the Unborn Jesus.
